Prologue

 Author's notes:

1.  I started writing this WIP for Stars91 as my assignment for Ducks’ Angel Ficathon but then, it seems to have a mind of its own and took off from there. I’m sorry this is so late, Stars, but my muse went on strike for a while.
2. Takes place some months after “Not Fade Away”. Shanshu fic with some references to canon through “Chosen” and “NFA”.
3. Major character deaths mentioned (*not* Angel or Buffy).
4. Dream sequences are in italics.
5. The Title “Ghost of a Dream” comes from lyrics of the song "Tears Falling Down" by Roseanne Cash from her album "The Wheel":

“It’s the ghost of a dream
That awakens me
In the night
When no one’s around
But I don’t hear the sound
Of those tears falling down….”

Pairings: B/A mainly, B/Lindsey, and possibly some others along the way.

1. There's a lot of back-story but not a lot of action in this part, It's intended to lay the ground work for what comes later.
2. The Powers-that-Be often work in mysterious ways, and the Senior Partners are not the only ones who can alter reality.
3. This part's Rated R.

Part II

Author's notes:

1.  I've been to Mexico City but didn't get out much beyond the Zona Rosa so I've limited the geography to what I know.
2. You may remember the Shilosh demons that implanted an eyeball at the back of Cordelia's head in the ANGEL episode "Epiphany".

Part III

Author's Notes:

1. Flashback scenes.
2. I borrowed a couple lines of dialog from BtVS episode "Amends" and from AtS episode "Orpheus".
